Summer Reading series … Modern Log Cabin

The log cabin is such a simple and versatile block that most quilters have probably made a log cabin block (or a variation) somewhere along the way – Cherry Fizz is a variation that I finished earlier this year.

And if you want a quick summer sewing project, Fat Quarterly has a block pocket apron quilt along with Susan Beal over here. You can make an apron from a pillowcase and some scraps using one of the patterns from the book.
