October is shaping up to be a roadshow for Mad About Patchwork. Creativ Festival seems to be earlier this year – October 12-14 at the Toronto Convention Center. You’ll find me and my mom in a new, bigger booth – #506. On October 22 I’ll be at the OVQG meeting as shop of the month. And then it’s back down to my old stomping grounds (or nearby) for the London Friendship Quilters Guild show on October 26 and 27. I look forward to catching up with at least some of you somewhere along the road.
I’ve finally got more Hex N More rulers in stock. It’s a versatile new ruler from Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts. You can cut triangles, half hexagons, hexagons and jewels in a number of sizes. Julie has also designed some new patterns to go along with the ruler – Candy Dish (pillows), Tasty (tablerunner), Northern Lights and Wonton.
If you’ve been waiting for shot cotton bundles to re-appear, they are finally back. I’ve been waiting all summer for some back-ordered bolts to arrive and most of them are now in. I’ve switched it up a bit – there are now two fat eight bundles to choose from.
And finally, a reminder that you can save 10% on your purchases all month with the coupon TGIFF10. Don’t forget the OctoberQuest for finished projects over at TGIFF. If you link up your finished projects in October you might just win 1 of 2 $50 gift certificates from Mad About Patchwork.
It’s Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada. Turkey and pumpkin pie are on the menu at our place. Have a wonderful weekend however and whatever you are celebrating!
