Books & Magazines
Two eagerly awaited packages arrived today. One had my copies of the debut issue of Generation Q Magazine. One for me, one for the giveaway winner (I’ll get to that in a moment). And the rest are now available in the shop. They sell for $9.99 (with free shipping).
One of the quilts in the magazine is the you + me quilt by Heather Jones shown above. It’s crisp, quasi-nautical look is achieved with just 2 colors on a white background. It finishes at 66″ x 66″, but can be easily resized by adding more blocks. It’s now available as a kit in the shop.
The other package to arrive was a box of books from C&T Publishing. I haven’t had a chance to put them on the site yet, but expect them to be there in the next day or two. And I’ll definitely be spending some time inspecting these!
And finally … the winner of the GenQ magazine giveaway. I had 18 comments (12 here and 6 here) with lots of helpful tips for organizing and using those scraps. And the winner is #18 … Sarah. I’ll be sending you an email shortly. I also had 2 offers to take my scraps for charity quilts, so Gail and Maxine will also be hearing from me.
Hi Pam, I didn;t know you had a blog as well as a shop! Thanks for adding my blog to your inspiration list. I’ll be following yours.
And I love that nautical-ish quilt. My husband, a sailor, would love something like that!
