Pi(e) Day at our house

March 14, 2011

Who knew when I got a math degree (oh so many years ago) that it would result in an annual celebration of the mathematical constant pi on March 14. But there you are … in our house we celebrate pi day with pie, of course! And not just one … peach for Emily & Tom, bumbleberry for Alex, and lemon meringue for Anna. As for me, I’m equally enthusiastic about all three.

This being the first day of March break in this neck of the woods meant that I had lots of help in the kitchen today. And just in case you’re thinking 3 pies for 5 people is maybe just a bit excessive, we’ve invited the neighbours over this evening to help eat up those pies.

Happy Pi Day to you!
