Odds and ends for a long weekend
The new issue of Canadian Quilter arrived last week. It’s a very newsy magazine with lots of info on the Canadian quilting scene. This issue has a supplement showing all the entries in the 2010 National Juried Show that was held in conjunction with the Quilt Canada 2010 Conference. What a talented bunch! There is also information on how to sign up for the workshops available at Quilt Canada 2011 which is happening in London, Ontario (just down the road from Woodstock, where I grew up). I found out earlier in the summer that Mad About Patchwork has been confirmed as a merchant for next year’s show. Yippee!!!
I have copies of The Canadian Quilter to give away to the first 3 Canadians making a purchase of $75 or more on the site this weekend.
10% off Colorful Christmas by My Mind’s Eye for Riley Blake continues until Monday (I’ll have my latest update on the Christmas challenge for you then.) And you can save 30% on Playday by SEI for Robert Kaufman until next Friday.
I just came across a site for the Ottawa Modern Quilt Guild. I signed up (only 3 members so far!) and am looking forward to being part of the Ottawa group. And while you’re poking around the internet, don’t forget to check out the first challenge in Project Modern.
