Modern quilt kits and a challenge too

August 19, 2010

If you’d like to try some modern quiltmaking, I’ve made it easy for you with kits from two of my favorite designers. The first is City Park from Cherry House Quilts. You can make this lap size quilt in beautiful Kona cotton solids as shown. You can click on the picture to find it in the shop.

This one from Emily Cier over at Carolina Patchworks looks a bit more intimidating, but what a beautiful result. It’s also done in those wonderful Kona solids. I’ve kitted it as a twin, but if you’re looking for a different size, please leave a comment and I’d be happy to oblige. Click on the picture to go shopping.

Or if you just want to do your own thing, grab a bunch of solids and go to it!

If you’re up for a challenge, and a chance to win some amazing prizes, be sure to check out Monday’s announcement from The Modern Quilt Guild.

I love Cherry House’s quilts! I’m also excited to hear what the first Project Modern Challenge will be!
