Amy Butler Love and Triple Treat

These fabrics have been calling to me for a while, and as much as I love the Sexy Hexy quilt that Amy designed for these beautiful bohemian fabrics, I knew I needed to find a simpler alternative. “Triple Treat” from Terry Atkinson’s Happy Hour booklet works nicely, big 15″ blocks that really show off the fabrics. Of course, in true Mad About Patchwork fashion, it sews up quickly. You can buy a half yard bundle of fabrics to make this quilt top. Just add your choice of binding.

I also have half yard bundles of Midwest Modern 2, an earlier Amy Butler collection. I can picture it as a more tranquil interpretation of the same pattern.

I thought some pics from my June garden complemented the fabrics beautifully:

What’s up for next week? I’ve got three different projects that I’d like to start … Nicey Jane in a Turning Twenty? City Scapes in a different colorway? Sweet Sixteen in spring solids? I’ll let you know what I decide.

Don’t forget to check what’s On Sale in the shop this week. There’s lots at 30% off – Animal Party, Bubblegum Basics, DelHi, Neutral Territory … while it lasts.
