Waiting

This 25 patch quilt top is waiting to be quilted. It was finished months ago, but put aside until I figure out what I want to about the quilting. The sunlight falling on it really brings out the lights and darks. I used a roll of 25 dark Konas and 25 strips of Kona Ivory. One light and one dark strip is enough to make a 25 patch block, finished size 10″. I made 25 blocks in total, each with a different dark color. 13 of the blocks are made with darks in the corner, and 12 with lights in the corners, to give an overall checkerboard effect when the blocks are alternated in rows.
